The Barents Sea is abundant with marine life. Among the most precious species is the codfish that has provided sustenance for generations of Russian people living on the northern coast of the Kola peninsula. Today, cod fishing is also a breathtaking recreational activity arranged from early March to late October. Small-size boats accommodating up to 10-12 passengers head for the open Barents Sea to reach the fishing grounds from Murmansk, Titovka or Teriberka. Sightings of seabirds, whales and seals are highly likely. Short briefing, life vests, fishing outfit and fishing tackle provided. The activity might take up 8-10 hours. Altogether, such tour could be your hands-on experience of the traditional northern occupation.
